Our primary mission
is to develop our members’ skills in all aspects of sailing, promote self-confidence in sailboat handling, educate sailors
and club members about nautical safety, and good sportsmanship. We offer a unique and affordable opportunity to learn and practice the art of sailing.
For the beginner, there is instruction. For the more advanced, there are advanced clinics, racing, teaching, and the proper
use of sailing equipments.
The only prerequisite to participating in club
activities (including lessons, racing and more), is that you know how to swim. If you're new to sailing, we recommend that
you begin by visiting the club on a Sunday morning anytime between 9 AM and Noon, and sample our sailing instruction.
Reservations or advance notice are required
before your visit so we can inform you what to bring for the sample sailing lessons. If you're familiar with sailing and want
to know more about the club, stop by to check out our fleet and facilities. Don't forget to look at our calendar to see what
special events may be going on this week.
When you come out to the club, please bring
soft-soled shoes (so as not to damage the surface of our boats), a towel and change of clothes (in case you get wet!), a lunch
(no food is provided at the club), and drinks. Life jackets are available at
the club in all sizes but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
If you'd like to become a member, we ask that
you come out to the club to join. Talk to a club officer for more details.
Our ultimate goal
is to encourage our members to create a competitive team that could represent us in local and national tournaments
